When Ocean Spray® approached us to support their “Cranberry Culture” campaign, the ask was clear: help reintroduce their iconic Craisin® brand in a way that felt fresh, fun, and impossible to ignore.

We all know and love Craisins® — but the real challenge was making something familiar feel completely new again. With three brand-new flavors launching, Ocean Spray didn’t just want to send snacks in a box. They wanted an experience.

That’s where we came in.

Turning Product Seeding Into a Story

At Savvy Creative Agency, we specialize in transforming traditional influencer mailers and seeding kits into brand moments that stick. We knew this kit needed to do more than showcase the product, it needed to spark curiosity, encourage interaction, and create content-worthy moments that would actually get shared.

So we built a custom, escape-room-inspired mailer designed to get recipients involved from the very first unboxing.

Inside, creators found three unmarked Craisin® samples, each housing a new flavor. Their challenge? Taste, guess, and unlock. Every correct guess revealed part of a numeric code. Once they cracked all three, they used the code to unlock a hidden compartment in the box, revealing a final branded moment and a celebration of the new product line.

It was playful, unexpected, and a little bit addictive.

Designing With Intention

This wasn’t just a cute idea in a pretty box. The design strategy was deliberate:

  • Interactive elements kept recipients engaged longer and increased the chance of content creation.
  • Cohesive, cranberry-forward branding made sure the kit aligned with Ocean Spray’s identity while still feeling fresh.
  • Multi-layered packaging turned a simple mailer into a hands-on discovery experience.
  • Bold copy and clear instructions ensured the kit was intuitive while still feeling elevated.

From custom flavor inserts to a lock mechanism on the final reveal, every detail was designed to tell a story — one that centered the product but felt more like play than marketing.
