Are you already dreaming of mistletoe, cider, and gingerbread houses? If so, you’re ready for us to sprinkle a little Christmas cheer in July.

The holiday season is quickly approaching and if your organization has not started thinking about your holiday party, now is the time. We love holiday parties because they present the perfect opportunity for companies to show their appreciation for their staff, let loose, and have a good time celebrating the holidays and the years end.

We’re sharing some tips on how to wow your staff at your end of the year celebration/holiday party.

1. Make it fun

Staff look forward to holiday parties, be sure to put effort into the planning process. From venue selection to entertainment, make sure that you are planning the event with intention and with your staff in mind.

2. Show Appreciation

This is the perfect time for upper management to show their appreciation for the hard work that staff has done throughout the year. Everyone is nostalgic around the holidays so going above and beyond to show that you value and appreciate your staff goes a long way. This doesn’t have to break the bank, but you’ll want to ensure that a token of appreciation is provided to staff. This can be done in the form of an end-of-year bonus, a gift card, or some other special perk.

3. Encourage Networking

Encourage your staff to meet and greet colleagues from other departments who they may not have an opportunity to interact with on a daily basis. Creating fun elements like a photo booth, scavenger hunt, or some other activity that encourages networking is always a good idea.
